INU RISE Project Group Neulbom School ‘Children’s Neulbom Playground’
The RISE Project Group of Incheon National University (Director: Gyu-won Kim, Professor of Chemistry) announced that it will host the “Children’s Neulbom Playground” at the outdoor plaza of Incheon Technopark on May 5 in celebration of Children’s Day.
The event will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Children’s Day and has been organized as an interactive educational and cultural festival featuring hands-on programs and performances for children and families. Beginning with a pre-event performance, the program will include various cultural performances such as Nanta percussion shows and busking performances.
The Neulbom School of the INU RISE Project Group (Lead Professor: Ki-soon Han, Professor of the Department of Creativity Development) stated, “We have prepared a variety of experiential programs that children and parents can enjoy together.” The event will feature educational and entertainment content including science activities based on the Science Outreach Program, traditional games, emotional e-x-p-r-e-s-s-i-o-n activities, and creative design programs. In particular, participants are encouraged to join future-technology experience programs such as VR experiences and drone soccer activities.
The program includes VR activities, drone soccer, activity booths, surveys, online activities, and challenge programs. The Egg Step Challenge is also included as one of the activities.
The “Children’s Neulbom Playground” has been designed not simply as a recreational event, but as an educational festival combining learning and care through direct experience. By integrating university educational resources with the local community, the event is expected to provide children with safe and enriching experiences.
Lead Professor Ki-soon Han said that the program was prepared to provide various activities for Children’s Day and offer meaningful experiences for participants.
Supported by funding from Incheon Metropolitan City, the INU RISE Project Group Neulbom School will continue the program through the 2026 academic year and plans to further expand education and care models connected with the local community.
