INU–New Taipei City Department of Education MOU Signing Ceremony
The Korean Language Institute of the Office of International Affairs at Incheon National University (Director: Sook-hee Chae) announced that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Department of Education of New Taipei City Government, Taiwan (Director-General: Ming-wen Chang, 張明文) on April 30 to strengthen educational exchange and cooperation.
The signing ceremony was held at the CUBE Promotion Hall on the Songdo Campus of Incheon National University and was attended by a total of 34 participants, including the New Taipei City Department of Education delegation—comprised of education officials, high school teachers, and students—as well as representatives from the university.
The event was organized to establish an educational network with high schools in the New Taipei City region and to discuss student exchange initiatives and Korean language training programs in cooperation with the Korean Language Institute. The program included introductions to both institutions, the MOU signing ceremony, an admissions information session for Incheon National University, and a campus tour hosted by the International Student Association.
Jin-bae Hong, Vice President for International Affairs at Incheon National University, stated, “This agreement marks an important starting point for cooperation between Incheon National University and the New Taipei City Department of Education.” He added, “Based on mutual trust, we hope to continuously expand various educational exchanges and joint programs, thereby contributing to the enhancement of global competitiveness and mutual development for both institutions.”
The Korean Language Institute at Incheon National University operates four regular Korean language semesters annually and attracts outstanding international students each year. Through this agreement, the university plans to strengthen cooperation with high schools in the New Taipei City region and establish a virtuous cycle for recruiting international students through Korean language training and subsequent undergraduate admission pathways.
